Broad research topics: genomic and metagenomic data of aquatic bacterial communities in the context of antimicrobial resistance spread.

Research interests: My research focus so far centered on the ecology of bacterial communities present in the different compartments (water column, sediments) of alpine lakes. Aiming at the analysis and characterization of the composition, spatial and temporal distribution of key microbial species as well as the study of the diversity of major microbial populations and their physiological activity within the different compartments of the lake.

Projects: At MEG, I work as a post-doc within the framework of the research projects BIOTRAILS and CIPAIS I-CH ANALISI LIMNOLOGICHE for the production of genomic and metagenomic data of aquatic bacterial communities, and their bioinformatic analysis and ecological evaluation, particularly in the context of antimicrobial resistance spread.
